LBSS Grant Winners
The LBSS Endowment Fund was established in 2007, when our organization generously
received the assets of the Library Book Selection Service. LBSS is committed to supporting
libraries across the state of Illinois by providing grants to improve library collections. We
currently support two grant opportunities each year. Since our existence we have provided
over 2000 sets of Reader’s Choice books to libraries. In addition we have given out 195 grants
of $1500 each to be used by school librarians to identify and upgrade a specific section of their library to better service the needs of their patrons.
At this time I would like to recognize our newest winners of the $1500 grants that were most
recently announced at conference. Those attending the conference we able to return home
with their check in hand!
Congratulations go out to:
Fiona Griswold, Amy Williams, Heather Chalfin, Mary Rund, Kami Spatek, Mary Richars, Todd
Freer, Cindy Parr-Barett, Cindy Larson, Judith Tichacek, Melissa Willer, Marina Kemp, Christina
Ensign, Christine Case, Kristen Rademacher, Jodi Wortsman, Amanda Shaffer, Amanda
ORourke, Laura Crisp, Connie Rogers, Marianne OKeefe, Dawn Scuderi, Diane Franks, Holly
Gallagher, Andrea Perrin.
For additional information on both of our grants, please check out our website. We look
forward to providing grants to our members as they work to make their collections fill the
needs of their patrons.

We've Got Questions-You Have Answers
An informal series of surveys just because we're curious. Some may be serious and some may be silly, but either way watch for a summary of responses in the next AISLE Update!
LAST WEEK'S QUESTION:
If you could meet any author, living or dead, and get to know him/her/them really well, who would it be?
Top Responses: Jason Reynolds or Neil Gaiman
If you have an idea for a survey, please send it to newsletter@aisled.org
