AHS Dance @ National Dance Team Championship
"Just wrapped up our prelim jazz performance! No matter what happens we have so much to be thankful for!
-We are at Nationals with the best teams in the nation!
-We hit one of the best runs of our routine ever!
-We are the first team ever to compete 6 males on the floor!
-Our teammate Cambri stepped into the routine less than 24 hours ago, went on the floor after only getting to run the routine full out with the team once and nailed it!
-We feel the love of our entire student body watching the live stream back home!
We are so proud to be Airedales today!"
GO AIREDALES!!! We can't wait to hear about the next performance!

Alma Mayor Declares February as CTE Month
On January 12, 2020, Alma Mayor Jerry Martin proclaimed February as CTE Month. Career and Technical Education (CTE) is the education of career skills in order to prepare students for the workforce. Thanks to CTE classes, students are able to gain experience before they enter the business world.
“I received certifications in Microsoft Office and Digital Literacy. I plan to apply them in future career paths,” shared DECA member, Payton McCain. “Through CTE classes, I have learned professional communication and technological skills that will be invaluable after high school,” added Alma DECA VP of Finance, Colton Wormke.
Career and technical education provides students with significant advantages in academic and career preparation and strengthens our nation’s economy by filling the skills gap. Data shows students who participate in CTE courses are more likely to graduate high school, move on to postsecondary education and perform better on standardized tests. According to the Arkansas Department of Career Education:
● 97 percent of Arkansas high school CTE concentrators graduated
● 97 percent went on to post-secondary education, the workforce or the military.
There are here are 12.3 million students enrolled in at least one CTE course across the United States. At Alma High School, students can choose to take CTE courses in Engineering, Business, Marketing, Health, Agriculture, Family and Consumer Sciences and NJROTC.
For more information about Career and Technical Education courses, contact Alma High School, or visit the Alma School District Website.
