Residents are encouraged to download the Ready South Texas app, available in the iTunes and Google Play stores, to receive updates on the COVID-19 situation in San Antonio.
Additionally, residents can text COSAGOV to 55000 to receive SMS text message updates.

Per TEA, the Statewide Initiative has been advised to cancel all Building the Capacity of ALL Families by Steve Constantino (April 16-17 San Marcos Embassy Suites, April 20-21 Region 11 Fort Worth area, April 22-23 Region 17 Lubbock, May 12-13 Region 4 Houston, May 14-15 Region 1 Edinburg). BUT, they will be rescheduled.

Claudia I. Vargas is from San Antonio, TX. Having more than 20 years’ experience, her work has focused on enhancing Bilingual/ESL programs, instruction and leadership. She is proud to be bilingual, bicultural and biliterate. Having attended San Antonio ISD's public schools, Claudia graduated from Lanier HS as Valedictorian. She got her B.A. in Latino Studies from Dartmouth College and later her Master’s in Educational Leadership from UTSA. Her passion lies in educating our future generations and ensuring that ALL students receive equitable access to the educational system. She brings these strengths to continue growing the understanding that our educational communities must empower our families to empower our students!
