Picnic with Parents
STEM Night/Scout Round Up
Tuesday, 9/10/19, 5:30 - 6:30 PM
A representative from the Boy Scouts of America will also be there to do a scout round up.
Roper Read-A-Thon
The library will be sponsoring a read-a-thon again this year as a fundraiser to buy new reading materials for our students.

Picnic with Parents
Parent/Teacher Conference Night
Home room teachers will schedule individual conferences with parents to discuss student progress. We will have translators on site, but they are limited. Please provide an adult translator of your own if available.
Roper Open House/Title 1 Meeting
Join us for our annual open house to see our students’ learning and hard work on display. You can also enjoy a musical performance by our 3rd graders and attend our annual school wide Title 1 meeting to learn about our program.

Turkey Trot
Join your student during their PE time during the day for our annual fun walk and you could win a Thanksgiving turkey!
Roper Book Fair
Mrs. Britton and her crew will host a Scholastic Book Fair in the library all week. Parents may visit anytime during the week to make purchases.
Title 3/EL Parent and Family Night
Parents of our English Learner students are invited to join us for a family night to enjoy reading and literary activities. We will present information on our Title 3/EL program and help parents understand the EL services available to our students.
3rd Grade Cup Stacking Competition
Our 3rd graders will compete with each other in a cup stacking competition during their PE class. Parents are invited to cheer their students on!
Roper Thanksgiving lunch
The cafeteria will serve its annual Thanksgiving turkey meal during lunch and parents are invited to attend. Guest meal tickets will be available for sale before the day of the event.
UIL Academic Meet
Students will compete in various academic events to show what they know!
December
Breakfast with Santa
Join us for our annual pancake breakfast and pictures with Santa in the cafeteria. We will have festival activities and story time. Tickets for breakfast and pictures are available at the door.
2nd grade musical plays
Our 2nd graders will perform in a musical play that you are sure to enjoy. Schedules for various classes will be available closer to show dates
1st Grade Gingerbread House Building
Homeroom Holiday Parties
Students will celebrate the holidays in their homeroom class before we release for Christmas break. Times will be confirmed closer to event day.
January
Roper Family Math Night
Join us for fun with math games on a cold winter night! Learn easy strategies to help your student tackle math obstacles.
February
3rd Grade Musical Plays
Our 3rd graders will perform in a musical play that you are sure to enjoy. Schedules for various classes will be available closer to show dates.
Roper Family Book Cafe
Bring your Valentine to our Book Cafe and have fun participating in a fun reading activity.
Homeroom Valentine Parties
Students will celebrate Valentine’s Day in their homeroom class. Times will be confirmed closer to event day.
March
Roper Spring Fling/Title 1 Meeting
Help us celebrate Spring with family friendly activities to promote learning. You will also have the opportunity to learn more about our school-wide Title 1 program.
April
1st Grade Musical Plays

Book Bingo
Our annual Book Bingo is a big family fun hit! Join us for some old fashioned bingo and win books to build your home library.

Roper Field Day and Track Meet
Our students work hard to display the skills they have learned all year in PE and then compete in classic foot races. Times available closer to event date.
Wright Honor Rally
We celebrate our hard working Ropers at our annual awards ceremony. Parents will be notified if their student will be recognized at the ceremony, but everyone is invited to attend.
