A Message from Principal Choquette 10/6/17
I'd like to thank everyone who came out to this year's Open House. It was nice to see so many of you and your children. I'd also like to thank the PTO for organizing the Open House and for planning a fun evening for our families. The passports were a huge hit!
Please remember that there are no dogs on school grounds while school is in session (7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.). If you must bring a dog to the school during the day or at pick-up and drop-off, you need to stay in Lampron Park. Thank you for your cooperation.
There are many students who get breakfast at school and are not going to breakfast immediately when they get off the bus. Please remind your children if they eat breakfast at school, they must go right to the cafeteria. Some student are going in after the morning recess causing them to be tardy.
Thank you to all of our students and families who participated in International Walk to School Day. We had so much fun. Take a look at our pictures below. If you are interested in signing your children up for the bus or if you would like to volunteer to be a "driver" please go to the PTO website (bsspto.org) and click on the walking school bus tab.
Thank you and have a wonderful long weekend!

Inclusion...a reminder about "THAT KID."
“If ever, at any point, YOUR child, or any of your children, becomes THAT child…
I will not share your personal family business with other parents in the classroom.
I will communicate with you frequently, clearly, and kindly.
I will make sure there are tissues nearby at all our meetings, and if you let me, I will hold your hand when you cry.
I will advocate for your child and family to receive the highest quality of specialist services, and I will cooperate with those professionals to the fullest possible extent.
I will make sure your child gets extra love and affection when she needs it most.
I will be a voice for your child in our school community.
I will, no matter what happens, continue to look for, and to find, the good, amazing, special, and wonderful things about your child.
I will remind him and YOU of those good amazing special wonderful things, over and over again.
And when another parent comes to me, with concerns about YOUR child…
I will tell them all of this, all over again.” By Valerie Strauss
