Winter Conferences
Winter conferences are around the corner. If your child's teacher feels that a conference is necessary, he/she will reach out to you with scheduling information for either February 3rd, or the 10th. In-person, or virtual conferences are available to parents. Please note that if you choose an in-person option, all guests will be expected to wear a mask during the conference. We will have masks available in the office if you forget.

For those who are grieving, the Holidays can be a particularly difficult time. If you could use help coping, consider looking at the grief resources offered to individuals and families by the Hospice of the Western Reserve.

I continue to work with individual students on an as needed basis. If you are interested in having me meet with your child, please click on the link below and complete the form. I will receive an emailed copy of the form and will plan on meeting with your child soon.

Classroom Guidance
Miss Demetriades and I returned to the Kindergarten classrooms this week to teach Emotion Management. We talked about feelings and how they feel in our bodies. When we notice how our body is feeling, it helps us recognize the clues that we are having a strong feeling and need to calm down. We practiced belly breathing, counting, and using self-talk to calm down. Ask your kindergartener to show you how to take good belly breaths using a stuffed animal or toy!
Lunch Groups
I am looking at running some of the groups below starting in January. These lunch groups will focus on sharing and understanding, as well as learning and practicing coping skills to build resiliency. If you think your child would benefit from participating in one of these groups, please fill out the form below. If you have more than one child, please fill out one form for each child.
