New Procedures for Morning and Afterschool Drop-off and Pickup
Dismissal Your student’s safety is our top priority. As we open this school year with new safety procedures, we greatly appreciate your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we modify our daily routine. Secure Dismissal Tags will be distributed to students on Wednesday, August 17. On Thursday, August 18, we will have full implementation of the use of Secure Dismissal Tags.
Morning Car Drop‐off
Every morning all students riding in vehicles will enter into the car loop in front of the school. Parents are asked to pull forward to unload in the designated, single-lane, unloading area. Students should be prepared to exit the car immediately having already gathered up any necessary materials. All students MUST exit the vehicle on the passenger side onto the sidewalk. For the safety of your child and others, never let a child out of the car on the driver’s side. We ask that all students are dropped off no later than 8:00 a.m. to get to their classrooms and begin the day promptly by 8:07 a.m.
Afternoon Car Dismissal
Each family may register for one Secure Dismissal Tag. These tags will allow parents to participate in Valet Pick-Up and/or Parent Pick-Up without an ID. A Secure Dismissal Tag (either the sticker or the hangtag) needs to be displayed on the passengers-side window each time you pick up your child. Additional tags are available for a $2.00 fee, please see the front office for more information and details.
Parent Pick-Up:
Option 1 Parent Walk Up: When you enter the school grounds use the left lane to access the first parking lot entrance. Please exit your vehicle and proceed to the main cross walk with your secure dismissal tag. Please remain on the sidewalk adjacent to the handicap parking spots. A staff member will escort your child to you. We recommend you advise your student that you will be walking up to the building to pick up.
Option 2 Parent Drive Through: When you enter the school grounds use the right lane. Display your Secure Dismissal Tag as you enter the lot. Remain in the right lane. Staff will verify student identity prior to releasing your child and will ensure your child loads in your vehicle. Keep the following in mind:
● Watch out for Children and Staff participating in the dismissal process! Safety First! ● Please pull up as close to the car in front of you as possible.
● No Cell Phone Use in vehicles while in school zones.
No Secure Dismissal Tag? If you do not have your Secure Dismissal Tag, you will be required to park and report with your state identification to the front office. All students are released following proper verification of parent/guardian ID.
Bus Arrival and Dismissal
All bus riders will be dropped off and picked up at the side of the building in the designated bus area. It is unlawful to ever have cars in the bus loop. Please be sure to communicate with your student their bus number and the days they will be riding the bus.
Picture Day is Friday, Aug. 19, 2022!
Shipping and Handling charges may apply to orders placed after Picture Day.
