Mission Trail Elementary
Sunday Update for October 25, 2020
Dear MTE families,
I hope this email finds you well. I am gearing up for the Chiefs game and I am honestly a little excited to see the snow. I hope the snow brings relief to Rocky Mountain National Park where my family loves to visit. I know many of you share the same fondness for the Rockies. These times truly make me grateful for the everyday blessings. I am grateful for our school, our community, and the opportunities to see joy in our everyday experiences, even our struggles.
I am also very grateful for our teachers and staff. They are working tirelessly to make learning happen in our new normal. Whether virtual, or in-person, each learning experience must be recreated and restructured for safety and online learning. They are doing an exceptional job and I am proud of them and the students. This first quarter has brought changes and challenges, and together, our students and teachers are making the most of it.
This week, we are excited and looking forward to spending time with the parents and guardians of our Bulldogs. We hope to meet with all our families via Zoom and want to partner with you as we consider the learning needs of our children. Thank you to the PTO for providing the Monday night dinner for the teachers. We appreciate you.
I am very appreciative of our PTO and their work to support our team! Whether it is with supplies, snacks, or smiles, thank you families for sharing the love with our staff. Culvers was very busy on our fundraiser day! Thank you to everyone who could go and help make it happen. With our limited fundraising opportunities during COVID, every dollar counts! Thank you.
If you are looking for some fun community time, please do check out the PTO Scarecrow event and pumpkin carving events for all students. We also have the Scouts trunk or treat event in our parking lot on Halloween Day!
As always if you have any concerns, celebrations, or questions -please reach out to me.
"It is a great day to be a bulldog!"
Debbie
