Centennial Middle School
April 25, 2022
Letter from Principal Rosenbach
Dear Centennial Families,
Thank you to all the families that participated in spring conferences before spring break. We were excited to offer both in-person and Zoom conferences to give families some flexibility. It definitely was good to see families back in the building.
We have also now started our 4th and final term of the school year. I really can't believe we are at this point of the year where we are talking about end of the year activities and planning for next September.
We are also starting SBA testing on Monday April 25th. Students will be testing in their ELA, math, history and science classes over the next four weeks. Please make sure students bring a changed laptop to school every day. The bell schedule will stay mainly the same, however we won't have Patriot Period on Monday and Tuesday the next four weeks. So students need to plan ahead for keeping up with their work.
Thank you all for your support of your students and CMS this year. We certainly do appreciate everything families do to help our students be successful.
Sincerely,
Josh Rosenbach
Please complete Student Transportation Input Form
So that we can better plan student transportation needs and routes/schedules for the 2022—2023 school year, we have implemented an online Student Transportation Input Form at www.sno.wednet.edu/ridethebus. Between now and through early summer, we are asking all parents/guardians of 2022-2023 students to please complete this form. The form only needs to be completed once per student.
Counseling Corner
April/ May 2022 Keys to Success
Extracurriculars are the keys to success. Students who participate in extracurricular activities are less likely to skip class or miss school. They are more likely to have a GPA of 3.0 or higher and score well on math and reading assessments. Extracurricular activities have other benefits, too.
Fines and Yearbooks
Yearbook distribution schedule:
Student's without fines: June 15 - 16.
Student with fines: June 20 last day of school.
Please check your students account to make sure they don't have any fines. Have your student return their library books so any fines can get taken off.
To check your students account: Sign in, click on your student and go to "Reports" to see unpaid fines. To pay fines go to "Pay Fine/Fees".
Bus passes
The only bus passes we are allowed to write for students is - students riding on the same bus route and getting off at a different stop.
Transportation is not allowing any other bus passes at this time.
If you have any transportation questions please contact transportation at 360.563.3525.
Early Releases
We do not call students down to wait for parents in the office, we don't want them to miss out on valuable class time. Thank you for you understanding and patience while we locate your student.
