OUHSD Newsletter
June 15, 2021
Sharing the latest news and information from the Oroville Union High School District.
We would like to wish our OUHSD families a great summer! Here are some reminders as we head into the next few weeks. The OUHSD Newsletter will re-commence in August.
News & Information
Face Mask Requirements Continue after June 15th
Does anything change at OUHSD on June 15?
California plans to fully reopen the economy on June 15 and ease the restrictions that have been in place during COVID. However, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has stated that “school masking guidance remains in place and masks are required. Going forward, CDPH will continue to provide guidance around youth settings.”
OUHSD's face mask requirements and other safety mitigation measures will remain in place at our schools for our summer programs and in our district's offices.
We anticipate that CDPH will be issuing directives for schools for the 2021-2022 school year by July which we will share out with OUHSD families as soon as we know more.
As a reminder, OUHSD’s Mask Policy is as follows:
All students and staff must continue to wear a face mask inside school buildings regardless of vaccination status.
All students must continue to wear a face mask when on OUHSD campuses.
All students and staff must continue to wear a face mask when they are on a school bus.
Thank you for your continued support.

Updated Website and Communication System Coming This Summer!
In a continued effort to improve communication with our families, we are changing to a different website format and communication system this summer. We have been working hard over the past several months to keep our families better informed by sending newsletters and announcements on a regular basis. We have also greatly increased our presence on social media. We hope you like what you’ve been reading. If you have a story idea for us or would like to provide feedback on what we’ve been posting, please send an email to pblaney@ouhsd.net.
New Parent Data Confirmation (Online Registration System)
The Parent Data Confirmation Portal in Aeries that allows parents/guardians to annually update their student’s personal information opens on July 1st. You will receive an email and letter in the mail in the next few weeks containing informational videos to help you login to the system and to perform the data confirmation process. Please check your school website announcements for the dates and times that staff will be available to assist you over this phone or to make arrangements to use a computer at school. All parents/guardians must complete this process before school starts on August 17th. In order to avoid receiving numerous friendly reminders, please complete this process in July!
