A Moment With Mrs. O'Donnell
Dear Attea Families,
Happy New Year Flyers!
There is something about beginnings. The beginning of the school year, the beginning of winter, and the beginning of a new calendar year. Each beginning brings a fresh perspective and new opportunities. We encourage all Atteans to challenge themselves to develop goals and take action steps to achieve them.
Next week students will be taking NWEA Winter Assessments for reading and math. We always encourage students to take their time and do their best. This is not something that should cause stress. The results provide a benchmark of students' academic progress and help teachers develop plans for instruction.
Go Flyers!

Graduation Photos - Thursday, 1/19
Students will take pictures with and without the traditional Attea blue graduation gown(provided). Please note, no cap is worn for 8th grade graduation.
Portrait and full body poses will be taken. Based on our experience with graduation photos, we customarily offer these reminders:
- This photo session is an opportunity for a formal graduation photo, so dress your best!
- Students must come to school dressed and ready as there is not time or place at school to prepare.
- Since pictures will be taken in front of a green screen, students should avoid wearing outfits with any shade of green for best results.
- One more tip - bring everyday school clothes to change into after pictures.
Parents will receive a proof of their child's pictures for review and picture packages can be ordered. A make-up/retake day will be scheduled.
