Free grab-and-go meals end Thursday, May 21
Blue Valley’s grab-and-go meal program for children will serve the final meals for the school year on Thursday, May 21. Families will receive two days of meals on May 21. This means each student will receive two breakfasts and two lunches. Blue Valley is happy to offer an alternate experience for those elementary families who want to continue practicing reading and math skills throughout the summer. Participation is optional.

What is Virtual Summer Learning?
Virtual Summer learning is a chance for elementary students and their families to participate in optional learning experiences in the areas of math and reading. The work is designed for students to complete with minimal support and includes up to 30 minutes of activity each day. The weekly themes and lessons are designed to start on June 8.
Where does my child access the Virtual Summer Learning Materials?
Materials will be posted on June 1 and can be accessed through the Continuous Learning website.
If your student(s) does not have access to a device or the internet, please fill out this form to request a paper copy of the curriculum. The paper copies will be distributed via drive-thru at Hilltop Learning Center during the first week of June (details on pick-up will be communicated at a later time).

Is Virtual Summer Learning required for my student? Where do I turn in the completed work?
This is an option for families who want to continue learning experiences for their children throughout the summer. The work will not be turned in to a teacher.

BV summer hours of operation begin June 1 by appointment only
The health and safety of our community is our top priority and it will continue to be as we begin our summer hours of operation in Blue Valley. The district's standard operating hours for the month of June are Monday-Thursday, 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Visitors should be aware of new procedures and practices prior to visiting one of Blue Valley's schools or facilities. Until further notice, buildings will be open by appointment only. Virtual appointments will be strongly encouraged in lieu of in-person appointments. In the case that a virtual appointment is not possible, the following will be required of visitors:
- Visitors must call the front office and wait in their vehicles until granted access
- Visitors cannot enter the building if answering yes to the three questions posted at entrances
- Visitors must be escorted in buildings and maintain six feet of social distance
- Visitors shall wear face coverings. Signage will be posted at each main entrance.
