Templeton families, please be cognizant of your surroundings in our parking lot while dropping off and picking up your child. Also, children exiting their cars should do so on the right side of the vehicle onto the sidewalk. Safety is our primary concern at Templeton. Please help us keep everyone safe!

Spirit Day - Feb 9th
Message from the Principal
Good Afternoon Templeton Families,
I hope this message finds you safe and well! With the second quarter coming to a close, it’s hard to believe we’ve reached the halfway point of the school year! There are a lot of positive things happening at Templeton, and I’m excited to be telling you about them!
First, we have started giving out monthly classroom and grade level awards to honor our students even more often when they’re doing the right thing. These awards include The Golden Shoe Award (best behaved classroom in the hallway), The Golden Whistle Award (best behaved class at recess), The Golden Lunch Boat Award (best behaved class at lunch) and The Golden Broom Award (cleanest classroom). Finally, we’re also giving The Golden Plunger Award to the grade level with the cleanest neighborhood and the cleanest bathroom. The winners are in the chart below!
- Golden Whistle (Recess)---Cutsforth, 5th Grade
- Golden Boat (Lunch)---Berg, 4th Grade
- Golden Shoe (Hallways)---Albaugh, 4th Grade
- Golden Broom (Classroom)---Maarefi, 1st Grade
- Gold Plunger (Cleanest Grade Level)---1st Grade! (I know)
We’re also excited about two very special events happening at Templeton in the month of February. We have our first Crafts Night on February 9th from 5:30-7:00pm sponsored by our TSO. We will also be celebrating Black History Night on February 23rd from 4:30-7:00pm as part of our ongoing Tigard Together Series. We’ll be sending out more information as we get closer to the date. Both events will be here at Templeton. We hope you can attend!
Finally, as we continue to return to normalcy after the pandemic our staff is extremely focused on attendance. We have shared how critical school attendance is not just for academic success, but also for each child’s future. We will continue to share information and reach out to families to ensure all kids are attending school 90% of the time or more. Please let us know if there’s anything we can do to support you.
Have a wonderful weekend! It’s always a good day to be a Templeton Tiger!
Sincerely,
Rory Moore
Principal
Templeton Elementary School
Items for the Templeton Roar Store
Hi, Templeton Families! We recognize our students who are safe, kind, and responsible by awarding PAX points in the classroom. Students can then use those points to purchase items from the Roar Store. We are always looking for fun new items to add to our store selection.
If you have gently used items that you are trying to get rid of we would love to add them to our Roar Store. Popular items include:
Stuffed animals
Pokemon cards
Art supplies
Books
Small toys (cars, balls, dolls, etc.)
Anything else… it’s always fun to see what our students enjoy purchasing!
If you have items you would like to donate, you or your student can deliver them to the Main Office. Thank you!
