A Letter from Mrs. Clifford
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE …
This school year is under way and already we have accomplished many things. We are experiencing a great deal of spirit, sportsmanship, volunteerism, and camaraderie. I am very proud of the senior leadership and the work of our student council advisor, Laura Tolzmann! Jacob Carter, our ASB President; Piper Stephens, our ASB Vice-President; Allie Bowman, our ASB Treasurer, Olivia Azzollini, our ASB Secretary have done an extraordinary job of leading our Student Council and our entire student body. I’d also like to mention and commend our senior class officers: Jack Stafford, President; Paul Janke, Vice President; Quinn Kennedy, Treasurer and Mischa Breazile, Secretary.
I would like to say a special thank our entire senior class for setting such high standards and expectations for positive behaviors. I can tell you that having this mature and caring group of young adults here has been a huge benefit to our entire student body. Having experienced most of their high school events and activities during the pandemic was a huge challenge for this class. They persevered, continuing their high levels of commitment to their academics and have come through maintaining positive attitudes and school spirit. I believe our seniors are a truly special group of kids…Thank you class of 2023!
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our Lake City High School Booster Club for their hard work and generosity. Our annual Dinner and Auction was a huge success and will support all of our sports, activities, staff appreciation and classrooms with much needed funding. We all appreciate our Booster President, Steve Jeanselme, for his leadership so far this year!!!
I introduced teachers who are new to our building this year at the New Teacher Chamber Reception in October. We are very excited to have 9 teachers of varying education, experience and content areas join our teaching ranks! Gail Costa, Madison McClean, Trevor Woodall, Jacob Dahl, Mike Profumo, Dakotah Davis, Fred Kelley and Paul Carlin joined our staff. This is a young, brilliant and energetic group of teachers who bring a great deal of expertise to our school! We are so very proud of our Lake City High School teachers and staff.
I would like to invite each one of you to come to Lake City High School and visit your students’ teachers on Thursday, November 10th from 4pm – 7:00 pm at Parent Teacher Conference Night. After conferences I will be in the library for a principal’s meet and greet from 7pm-7:30pm to visit with parents and answer any questions you might have. I look forward to seeing you then!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends!
