An Update From Principal Melissa Rohr
Dear West Hills Families,
I want to thank you all for a wonderful three years at WH. It has been a privilege to work with your students and partner with you. Throughout this time we have had many challenges with COVID and you have all been so wonderful to work with. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. Thank you for letting me be a small part of your student’s lives.
I am very lucky to have the next chapter be with the Bremerton School District. For you, I am so grateful that your next chapter will be with Teneka Morley Short. She is a talented and experienced principal that is in touch with our community and its resources. I have every belief that she can help to move West Hills to its next level. Should you ever need anything, please feel free to reach out to me. I will forever be grateful.
Ms. Rohr
Welcome Mrs. Morley - New Principal
Dear West Hills Families,
As we wrap up the 2021-22 school year, and start gearing up for next year. I am really excited for all the fun we are going to have at West Hills STEM Academy. From the first day of school next year, to the last, we look forward to making moments to remember. With so many changes happening in the building, it will be really important for all of us to work together to redefine who we are as a community and who we want to be. I look forward to making sure that we include students and families in those conversations. I will be setting up some times in the summer and fall to invite you to get to know me and to share your hopes and aspirations for your children and the children of the West Hills community. If, in the meantime, if you have any questions or would like to share information with me, please feel free to send me an email and I will get back to you to set up a time to talk. Have a great summer, be sure to encourage your child to read daily, play outside often and write grocery lists, letters or journal entries.
Warmly,
Teneka Morley-Short

FREE therapy available to all Bremerton School District students and staff
The mental health of our students is a top priority. That’s why we’re offering a free new service: Gaggle Teletherapy.
If your student is feeling sad, hopeless, angry, or anxious—or having challenges with family, friends, or relationships—therapy could help.
Gaggle Therapy is a free, confidential option to connect weekly with a therapist online and on your student’s schedule. Students can be referred by a teacher, counselor or parent, and students age 13 and older can self-refer.
