Enjoy Updates on Core News and Information!
Our students' five-week progress reports will be available in Q-Parent Portal sometime this week. Please take some time to talk with your children about their academic and citizenship grades.
For this first progress report, teachers usually give "bad news only," which means that grades are only given to students who are getting D's or F's for their grades and/or N's and U's for their citizenship. However, the Pink Panther Core teachers usually give grades to all the students. This is a matter of teacher preference and is not an indication of anything being wrong with your children's progress.
Please go to to the Pink Panther Core website (see link below) to get more detailed information on the 5-Week Progress Report.

Keeping student cameras on helps them stay focused.
One way for our students to participate and be more engaged in class is to have their cameras on. Having their cameras on helps our students make more positive connections with their classmates and peers, and helps them learn to communicate more fully like they would in person. Being on camera helps students have a sense of belonging. Especially in this age group, being accepted by their peers helps their self-esteem. It also helps them stay involved and engaged in the lessons and activities in their virtual class sessions. Interestingly, those students who were most often off-camera last semester were the ones who had more difficulty keeping up with their assignments and their grades.
As such, we expect our Pink Panther students to be on camera during our class sessions, so they can be successful during distance learning. If there is some reason why parents do not want their children to be on camera during class, please email one of the Pink Panther Core teachers with your concerns.
We wish you all a safe and healthy February!
Thank you for your support and involvement. Please email us if you have any questions or concerns.
