Lake Street Connection
January 21, 2022
Hello on this mighty cold Friday!
We have been busy teaching and learning. Our middle of the year NWEA testing is currently happening, as is our WIDA testing. Our students are truly showing what they know and let me tell you, that is a lot. We have great students and teachers, no doubt about that! Just a couple bullet points about arrival and dismissal. Both are running smoothly; I just want to remind you about a few things that will make it even smoother:
- Cold winter weather has officially arrived. At this time of year, our bus routes can be slightly delayed. It takes students a little longer to board the bus and our drivers slow down to drive for the conditions. Please dress for the weather at the bus stop. Thanks for your patience as we all stay safe at the bus stop this winter.
- To keep cars flowing during dismissal, please KEEP SIGNS IN THE FRONT WINDOW of your vehicle.
- At arrival, when all vehicles are stopped and unloading, students can open the door and exit the car.
- Ellendale walkers should be students who live and can walk to their homes in Ellendale. This should not be used as a pick up zone for others. We have a quick dismissal with lots of supervision out front. Please do not use the Ellendale walker area as another pickup/drop-off area. We do not have proper safety personnel out there to oversee another car zone. Thank you for your cooperation with this, safety is our number one priority.
Welcome to Chris Hazard as a great addition to our Lake Team!
Have a wonderful weekend, Cindy Wise
Welcome our New Treasurer, Chris Hazard!
Before coming to Lake Street... Before coming to Lake Street I was at CP Central Office, and prior to that I was in the Hobart School System for 10 years, doing a little bit of everything!
Ms. Hazard is excited about... I am so excited to be at Lake Street working with the incredible staff and engaging with the positive energy! I'm so happy to be here.
You might be interested to know... Ms. Hazard played basketball with Michael Jordan! Her family would go to basketball camps run by Michael which gave her the chance! She's a huge college basketball fan.
