ADVOCACY IN ACTION
Oak Lawn Community High School Media Specialists Jennifer Sidlow and Eileen Wholley presented at the Carousel of Panels during the 2022 Joint Annual Conference in Chicago on Saturday, November 19. The JAC is a state education conference for school board members, administrators and school business leaders.
The topic of their presentation was “An Exemplary School Library is Vital for Student Success”. They presented to library stakeholders that a safe, supportive and intellectually challenging library environment maximizes student engagement.
The presentation was attended by school architects, administrators and school board members, who learned how school leaders can enhance student success by supporting and advocating for the school library.

We loved seeing the students' creativity! Submitted by: Hope Kasten, Salem Community High School, Salem, Illinois @thecheerful19 #salemwildcatreads
