FREE PD: ISL PROGRAMS FOR SCHOOLS
AISLE is happy to present the following free program via Zoom from the Illinois State Library. Learn about the many programs that the ISL offers for schools. Registration is free and you will be able to earn 1 PDH.
Bonnie Matheis, Beverly Kane and Gwen Harrison of the Illinois State Library will share information about Try-It! Illinois – the statewide free electronic database trial, the School District Library Grant, Read for a Lifetime, Letters About Literature and Family Reading Night. We will share pertinent information that will keep you informed about programs that may enhance your professional development and assist with the creative reading and writing needs of students. 1 PDH Click here to register.

LOOKING FOR AN AUTHOR VISIT?
Scott Reintgen, whose novel, Nyxia, was on the 2020 Lincoln Award nominee list, has a new young adult book coming in the spring of 2023 entitled A Door in the Dark. He is planning school visits from this September to March of next year in conjunction with that release. He's specifically eager to talk with high school writing clubs, book clubs, reading clubs, fantasy clubs, etc. If you are interested in either a digital or in-person session, please reach out to him at: scottreintgen@gmail.com
