Due North Chapter Meeting
Due North represents librarians in Lake County. Date: Wednesday, November 16 at 4:30 pm Location: Rondout School - 28593 Bradley Rd, Lake Forest, IL 60045 Note: There are two front entrances. Make sure to use the north entrance. Focus: Our primary focus at this meeting will be on serving immigrant children, something that many of us are experiencing. Please bring any ideas or challenges to guide our discussion. We will also chat about the conference and share ideas that really struck us, so even if you couldn't attend, you can benefit. 2023 REACHING FORWARD CALL FOR PROGRAM PROPOSALS
The Reaching Forward Forum and the Reaching Forward South Committee are accepting program proposals for their 2023 conferences. The Reaching Forward and Reaching Forward South conferences serve library staff at all levels, with a strong focus on frontline and support staff. The deadline for Reaching Forward program proposal submissions is November 22, and the deadline for Reaching Forward South is December 9. If you have any questions about the conferences or how to submit a program proposal, please contact Kristin Pekoll.
SCHOOL LIBRARY CENSORSHIP SUMMIT
Held January 9, 2023 at Illinois State University, this summit will be focused on coming together as a community of school libraries to address the current landscape of censorship and book banning in the state and learning methods to promote intellectual freedom. Attendee Registration
